When is the last time I did an outfit post – early November? The truth is, its hard to pose for pictures and post yourself on the internet when you aren’t comfortable in your own skin. After hitting what I thought was my “normal” weight last year, I purged my wardrobe of everything over a size 4. This winter, a combination of new meds and health issues and honestly, getting older, I gained a few pounds. Not enough to be particularly concerned about my health (although its frustrating when I’m eating better and exercising more than ever before), but enough that I was uncomfortable in almost all of my clothes. So rather than shop for new clothes when I’m hoping to level out again, I’ve lived in yoga pants. Yep, that mom.
This weekend was absolutely gorgeous though, and that meant bare legs and skirts and dresses – clothes I feel pretty and comfortable wearing. No pesky waistband to cut into my sides 😉 Sunday hit almost 70* and Tyler dragged me away from my work for a bit to go grab an early dinner. It was amazing how a gentle breeze and warm sun could completely change my mood and outlook. Instant happiness.
This outfit is nothing exciting. In fact, it would fit one of my definitions of boring. But I love fashion because of how you feel when wearing certain clothing combinations together and today this is what I was wearing on a happy day – and I think that warrants documentation.
The sun is rising and I’m ready for Spring, friends.
